From the explosive evolution of video generation to the nuanced capabilities of newer image models, Daryl draws from his experience as a creative professional and navigates the turbulence of an industry in radical transformation. He offers a ground-level view of how these technologies are reshaping culture, work, and redefining what it means to be an artist in the age of algorithms.

About the Speaker:
Daryl Anselmo is a Canadian-American Creative Technologist, Art Director, and Founder. He is the award-winning co-creator of the original NBA Street and Def Jam franchises for Electronic Arts, was the Art/Creative Director for FarmVille 2 at Zynga, and served as a Director of Art for The Walt Disney Company. He has also co-founded two startups, both with successful exits.

A proponent for the creative use of GenAI, Daryl has lectured at numerous institutions including Stanford University, UC Berkeley, and Google, with his work showcased on the Main Stage at Ted 2023. Currently splitting his time between San Francisco and Vancouver, Daryl is obsessed with technology and writes his own code. He is currently deepening his technical practice and provides GenAI strategy, creative direction and training for select, forward-thinking clients.
