Visual Effects Supervisor Sanjay Bakshi will share a behind the scenes view into the making of the Pixar film Elemental.

About this event

In Elemental, the characters are classical elements: Fire, Water, Earth and Air. So how do you approach turning fire and water into fully realized, emotive and appealing characters capable of nuanced performances? Not only that, but then populate the world with a whole host of elemental background characters? Furthermore, create Element City where they all live – a bustling metropolis, er, wetropolis, which has been shaped over the years by its dynamic inhabitants. How to accomplish all of this was the burning question. In this talk you will hear about the daunting technical challenges.
